Bias-Free Predictive Control of Power Converters with <i>LCL</i> Filter in Micro-Energy Systems

Power converters with LCL filters have been widely adopted in systems, e.g., micro-energy grid-tied renewable energy etc. Such a system forms high-order xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) dynamic system, requiring complicated active damping showing slow control dynamics, applying classical cascaded linear controllers. Model predictive (MPC) is powerful strategy, which inherently suits for MIMO systems constraints. However, such inevitable tracking biases are seen when using the MPC. In addition, nonlinear nature of underlying leads to difficulty deep analysis an MPC controller design. this work, we mathematically reveal cause MPC, develop equivalent modeling method eliminate it at both parameter model uncertainties, forming xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">robust bias-free MPC . The proposed solution remains fast dynamics simple structure. xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Both simulation xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">and experimental data confirm effectiveness mitigating bias good robustness deviations grid disturbances.
